After his time there, he obtained his contractor’s license and worked independently on private jobs before going on to become a state-certified inspector. He spent many years working alongside his partner, Tom Barton, with Barton and Condie Construction Services. He later transitioned into running Mark Condie Inspection Services, where he dedicated the remainder of his career as a state-certified inspector for hospitals, schools, and prisons. His commitment, strong work ethic, and pride in his work left a lasting impact on all who knew and worked with him.
Outside of work, Mark had a deep love for the Las Vegas Raiders and the Oakland A’s. He enjoyed the simple things in life—time spent with friends, hosting get-togethers, and making memories with those he loved most. He adored his grandchildren and found great joy in attending their dance and piano-recitals, theatrical plays, as well as their baseball, softball, and volleyball games. Mark was also a long-term member of The Kings Country Club, where he enjoyed spending time on the golf course. He also loved nothing more than a good motorcycle ride. He had a special place in his heart for his beloved dog, Teddy, who will miss him dearly. Mark also loved traveling, especially to the Philippines, Hawaii, Catalina Island, and camping with family at Pinecrest.
Mark will be remembered for his love of family, his loyalty to his friends, and the joy he brought into every room he entered. His presence, laughter, generosity, and kindness will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
