

Maynard Victor Lowe Jr., most recently of Hanford, California, passed away on October 21, 2016. He was born on June 21, 1939 in Key West, Florida to Agnes Powell Lowe and Maynard Victor Lowe Sr. Maynard proudly served his country in the United States Army, and was honorably discharged in 1959. In December of 1960, Maynard went to work for Delta Airlines in Miami, Florida where he worked his way through the ranks from cargo handler to the ticket counter, eventually becoming station manager at New York’s LaGuardia Airport, in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and finally in Jackson, Mississippi where he retired in 1994. In 1978, Maynard married the former Marcie Staires, the love of his life, and together they traveled the world. He is predeceased by his parents, Agnes P. Lowe and Maynard V. Lowe Sr., and sister Catherine Lowe Holtham. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Marcie, daughter Kim and husband Mike Sheffield of Hanford, California, granddaughters, Erin and husband Nicholas Sanchez of Santa Barbara, California, Ryan and husband Adam Feldman of San Ramon, California, and great-grandchildren, Margot, Oliver, and Evelyn Sanchez, and Kayla Feldman, all whom he loved – and loved him – very much.

A memorial service for Maynard will be held at People’s Funeral Home located at 501 North Douty Street, Hanford, California on November 11, 2016 at 11:00AM. He will be interred in Key West, Florida at a later date.
