Richard F Ortiz

Services will be held in remembrance and honor of the abundant life lived by Richard Ortiz, who passed away August 16, 2014. Servant of Christ, a loved son, faithful brother, uncle, and friend, his was a life changed by the cross. Leaving a legacy of kindness and hope. Richard left an indelible mark on those that knew him. He humbly labored in the backdrop as a custodian at Lemoore Naval Air Station. Many benefitted from receiving bicycles he expertly restored while working over the past twenty-years at Kings County Rehabilitation Center. He is survived by his sisters Carol (David), Brenda (Thomas), nephews Brian, Eric (Tiffany), many special friends and extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents John and Rosie Ortiz, his sisters Linda and Barbara, and his brother John Ortiz Jr.

The family wishes to expresses their appreciation to Pastor Sal and the Church family at Amazing Grace Fellowship in Lemoore who inspired Richard as he sat in the front row to hear God’s matchless words. Special thanks to Roger and Adelina Cardoza, your commitment through the past 10 years is beyond measure. God bless Richard’s special friends at Chester Home and Kings Rehab, you enriched his life. With grateful hearts, we thank all the friends/families, and staff at Hacienda Health Care. May God bless you for your love and compassion.

Visitation will be held at People’s Funeral Chapel 501 N Douty St. Hanford, CA on August 28, 2014 from 5 – 7 pm; A Chapel Service will be held at People’s Funeral Chapel on August 29, 2014 at 10am. Burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery.
