Ronald William Grandmont

Ron was a commercial truck driver for 30 years before making a career change to work for the State of California where he worked at the Coalinga State Hospital for almost 15 years before he medically retired. On his spare time he loved to watch sports, listen to music and spend time with family riding his motorcycle, go karts, dirt bikes and fishing. Rons greatest passion was teaching his grandkids how to drive and everything he felt they needed to prepare them for life.

He is survived by his wife Monica, brothers Richard and Russell, 5 children Matthew, Heather (husband Gabriel), Alicia (husband Fernando Jr), Christopher and Kiersten (husband James). He had 13 grandchildren, Justin, Suvanna, Celeste, Alexis, Gabriel Jr, John Jr, Isabelle, Lea, Angelina, Amaya, Christian, Noah, Brandon and 1 on the way. He also has 3 great grandchildren (Soleil, Gabriel Jr and Christiana) as well as his nieces and nephews who he helped raise and were a huge part of his life. He was proceeded in death by his mother Shirley, father William and Sister Sharon.

To honor Rons wishes the family will host a casual Celebration of Life on February 28, 2026 at his place of residence.
