MR. RILLEY WAS MY 7 GRADE TEACHER AT LAKESIDE ELEMENTRY HE WAS THE BEST TEACHER EVER SO KIND, AND BECAUSE OF HIM I HAD GREAT GRADES AND LOVED GOING TO SCHOOL. HE IS DEEPLY MISSED. 

Mr. Reilly was my homeroom teacher at Lakeside when I was in the 7th grade. It was because of him that I was able to excell in academics and receive a 3.0 GPA for the first time ever. He was a great teacher who put his students first. May he rest in peace.

The loss of someone so close and so caring is difficult to bear. You have my deepest sympathy. Mr. Reilly loved his students and wanted the best for them. He will be remembered for his dedication to his students, and his honesty in everything. I am glad to have the the opportunity to work with him at Lakeside. He will be greatly missed.

I'm so sorry to hear about the passing of one my greatest teachers. Mr. Reilly wish I would have looked you up when I came back to Hanford, you along with Mr. Alba were the REALEST teachers I ever HAD! For a long time I was craving BEEF JERKEY,not just any Beef Jerkey,but the one that you had made & brought to US (your class) YEARS ago, I knew you made it with much love,there is none like the one you had made,it was tasty.... Oh gosh & the jelly beans, most of us didn't care too much for them but just because you shared with us we graciously accepted with open hearts each & every day.. Although Ron and I were only married for a while, we remained close and in touch for  over 20 years.  As the person who supported his effort to retire from the Navy, go back to school and become the wonderful teacher he was, I was so very proud of him even though it turned out I was not to be part of his teaching life.  It was so funny to me when he started teaching English... I used to bleed all over his college writing assignments with a red pen until he got it right.  He REALLY liked commas back then!  I will miss his sense of duty and caring, the way he jumped into things with both feet, and (most of all) his sense of humor.  In spite of all things, he was my very best friend.  There is no doubt he has left a giant hole in the world and in the hearts who knew and loved him.  My prayers are with you all.  Sincerely,

 Mr.Reilly was an amaziing teacher... my sdeepest condolences go to his family. I  like many more students from Lakeside School will miss him so much.

Mr. Reilly was an awesome teacher to myself along with my siblings. I'd always think "why is he so serious all the time," but really deep down inside he is a caring, cool, and wonderful person. It's just I never knew the real Mr. Reilly. Also when he called out my name, I'd thought I was in trouble, but really that wasn't the case, that is when I felt more relieved. It's very sad  to hear that a wonderful teacher we had had passed away. He will greatly be missed by all his students along with myself and families.

Ron was a man of true character.  He loved his family, cared for his students, and respected his co-workers.  May good memories sustain you in this time of heartbreak.

Mr. Reilly was the best teacher to have next door my first year of teaching. I can't begin to list the things he helped me with. He would walk in the door and say, "Come with me!" and I would jump up and follow because I knew he was going to be finding something helpful for me.  He loved his students to frustration sometimes, but most of all he loved his Kate. Thank you Kate for making sure his ties always matched and for sharing him with us, his Lakeside Family.

Mr.Reilly, You are one awesome teacher and someone I will never forget. You tought me so much and I had the pleasure of haveing you as a teacher two years in a row. You were also all of my other 4 sibling teachers and we were all very sad to hear you were sick. I want you and you family to know that you were loved very much and were someone that was kind, caring, loveable, always there to help, dependant on when needed, and an awesome crafty person. You will be deeply missed, always loved, and never forgotten.

Mr. Reilly will be deeply missed. He will always be my favorite teacher, he was a very dedicated man and always had a smile on his face, he was always willing to help us out with whatever we needed and always made sure we knew he was there for us. I will always remember all the stories he shared with us about his childhood, his yummy chocolate chip cookies, his jolly ranchers he shared with all of us and also the time he challenged me to a reading contest and i won a 5 pound bag of Jolly Ranchers :)I was blessed to have him as a teacher. My deepest sympathy goes out to Mr. Reilly's family.  I am honored to have been one of his former students.  Undoubtedly, Mr. Reilly was an amazing teacher; he was dedicated to his students and he loved his work (even more than black jelly beans, Star Wars, and the Pittsburgh Steelers). He made a difference in my life and the lives of many of his students. He will truly be missed.

Hi all of you Friends, Family, and students of my Mr. Reilly, I cannot express how wonderful it was to see all of you there today at the memorial. My husband was an extrodinary man and we all loved him, it was inspiring to say the least. We all loved him and lost a good friend, thanks to all of you who made him who he was and in return he helped us also to become and reach for more in ourselves. Again from the bottom of my heart always remember him in your prayers and a big thank you for being there for me today it helped me through a hard time. Love Kate and Family & Ozzy!

I would also like to send prayers to Kate and the family. Ron was a wonderful friend and I enjoyed working with him everyday.  Even after he retired he would always sub for the teachers whenever they needed him. If he wasn't working he was bringing in wonderful goodies he had made that weekend with his two grandsons.   He adored those boys and would always tell us stories about baseball or school projects they were working on. He was an exceptional man and I will miss him.

I was sorry to hear of Ron's illness and passing.  He was a wonderful person, friend, and teacher.  His commitment and generosity to others was remarkable.  He was the epitome of someone who went above and beyond for his family, friends, co-workers and most importantly, students.  It was an honor to have worked with him and know him personally.  My heartfelt condolences to Kate and Michael and the rest of the family.  Blessings.

Mr. Reilly was an awesome teacher and will be greatly missed. I am honored that I was able to be in his class for 4th and then 7th grade. He is one of the teachers that inspired me to enter the teaching profession, and I can only hope to be as great of a teacher as he was.

 I had the honor and privilege of being one of his students at Lakeside. Mr. Reilly was a great educator and friend to all of his students. My thoughts and prayers are with him and his family. Mr. Reilly THANK YOU for being a great teacher and most importantly a great friend. You will be missed.

As a former student of Mr. Riley I can say he was an amazing and caring person who wanted nothing but the best from his students! My condolences to his family! Our Lakeside School extended family has lost an amazing friend and person! I will always remember you Mr. Riley!

Deepest Condolences to Mr. Reilly and his family. He and Mr. Alba were the dynamic duo back when i was at Lakeside. Mr. Reilly will be dearly missed. What I remember best about him was his enthusiasm in the classroom, although some of us were reluctant to learn, he made sure we knew what he needed us to. Saying good-bye to Ron will be a long good-bye. Our heartfelt hugs and admiration to Kate and their family for loving him so completely and unconditionally. I knew him as a Navy man who served with my husband,...I knew him as a dear friend for many years sharing backyard bar-b-que memories and hysterical laughter ...and then I knew him as a teacher who always stepped up to go that extra mile for his school when Behavioral Health needed another program to be launched in Prevention. Now I am going to miss him everyday. 30 years of friendship is VERY hard to say good-bye to. Kate has my prayers and loved him best....may we all remember WHO HE WAS.

My sincere condolences go out to Kate and all of the other members of Ron's family. I met Ron in 1981 and had the immense pleasure of serving with him in the Navy, at sea and ashore, and always looked up to him as a mentor, a role that he continued for others as a teacher. He was always a genuine and loyal friend and I miss him already.

My deepest and sincerest condolences to Mr. Reillys Family. He was such a wonderful teacher he pushed me to be a better person and made me feel like i could conquer the world! I remember when he dressed up as warf and came to school one halloween. He was an extrodinary man. Im glad to say he was my teacher!!

Please accept my deepest condolences. Ron and I were the best of friends and I will miss him immensely.

My prayers are with the family of Ron.  I will always remember Ron as a wonderful cook, caring man, and good friend.  He never forgot my birthday, but it was the same day as his. He did so many wonderful things for his students.  He also, was very kind to us staff members by sharing many of his homemade goodies with us.  He was a great friend and I will miss him deeply.
