

Simona, was born in Pixley, CA on October 28, 1931 and passed away in Hanford, CA on April 16, 2011 at the age of 79. She was retired and formerly an Assistant Librarian at the Hanford Library and a translator for the Kings County Health Department.
She was known as a quiet person but Simona was one who jumped right in to help when needed, going so far as to drive her husband’s bobtail truck. She was a good Mother, a very determined person and constant in her beliefs.
Simona is preceded in death by her parents, Cerillio and Francis Miranda and sisters, Josie Miranda Gonzalez and Vera Miranda Rudolph and brother Jess Miranda.
Left to cherish Simona’s memory are her husband, Federico Gonzalez; three sons, Bill Casarez, Steven Casarez and Alfred Casarez; two daughters, Olivia Ramos-Guzman and Carmen Shepherd; seven grandchildren, Celena Ramos, Richard “Nick” Ramos, Christopher Casarez, Melissa Casarez, Rosie Casarez, Jack Casarez and Gracie Casarez; one great grandson, Rauston Richard Ramos and one great grand daughter Taylor Slatery.
Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held at People’s Funeral Chapel on Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. Followed by Graveside Services at 2:00 p.m. at Calvary Cemetery, 11680 S. 10th Ave, Hanford, CA 93230
