Suzanne Carpenter Kemp

Suzie passed just short of her 90th birthday in Hanford, California on January 3, 2016. She died after a lengthy illness. She was born on February 1, 1926 in Akron, Ohio. She lived in Miami, Oklahoma before moving to Hanford.

Susie worked part time as a Fuller Brush Lady, but her love was being a Homemaker and Mother.

Suzie was a member of The Episcopal Church of the Savior in Hanford, Church Alter Guild, Dolphins Society, A Grey Lady, The Junior League of Akron, OH, member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority and a recipient of the Rector's Cross.

She attended Kings School Elementary and The Old Trail High School in Akron, OH, Colby Sawyer Jr. College in New London, NH and graduated with a BA in Home Economics from The University of Akron.

She is survived by Jack C. Kemp, her loving husband of 60 years of Hanford, CA and her children; daughter, Rebecca C. Williams (Becky Kemp) and her husband, Tony of San Diego, CA and son, Timothy F. Kemp (Tim Kemp) and his wife, Saundra of Clovis, CA. She also leaves behind her grandchildren; Tiffany C. Lambert, Taylor C. Williams, Cali R. Williams all of San Diego, CA, Scott Kemp, Shanda Posthumus and Sara Kemp all of Clovis, CA. Suzie also leaves behind 11 loving great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Suzie was preceded in death by her parents; Ford L. & Margaret (Esselburn) Carpenter and her sisters; Jane Anderson and Nancy Barton.

A Private Memorial Service for the family will be held at Campo Santo Columbarium in Oakhurst, CA at a later date.
