Wanda Faye Walton

Wanda Faye Walton of Hanford went to be with our Lord unexpectedly February 1, 2020 at Adventist Health Medical Center. She was born on February 10, 1934 in Chandler, Oklahoma. The daughter of George Franklin and Onnie Pearl Burgess (Lancaster).

She graduated from Visalia Union High school in 1952. Following graduation, she married Robert Ray Walton. They settled in Hanford, California. They celebrated 67 years of marriage in February.

Wanda was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings Robert Burgess, Carter Lee Burgess, Shirley Mae Burgess, Lavern Gilbert and Kent Burgess. In addition, her two sons Joe Bob Walton (2019) and Douglass Walton, both of Hanford.

She is survived by her husband Robert Walton, her siblings Geraldine Neer, Maxin Casey, James Burgess and Jack Burgess. As well as her daughter Lavada Metzger of Visalia California. Grandchildren Susan Giede Romero, Jonathan Geide, Bobbi Jo Walton, Betty Mae Walton, Dustin Ray Walton and Jennifer Emanuel. Great grandchildren Richard Ortiz-Giede, Aamaya Geide-Romero, Jacob Blair, Joshua Blair, Dustin Walton Jr., Bailey Walton, Cody, TJ and Austin Emanuel. Great-Great grandchildren Sadie Faye Walton-Mari, Mary Lou, Jayne Blair and Kashton Robert Warren.

Wanda was a godly woman who gave her love unconditionally to all who surrounded her. She had a feisty personality but a warm heart who invited everyone to her kitchen table to share a meal. Together with her husband Bob, they provided a loving, warm home for 67 years and shared many wonderful camping and fishing trips with kids and grandkids.
