May 19, 1925-Sept. 27, 2015

Bill was born on May 19, 1925 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada to Arthur William Hodges and Lillian Alice Cook Hodges. He grew up attending schools in Toronto, and following high school he served as a private in the Royal Canadian Army Service Corps from 1943-46.

They initially moved to Los Angeles before settling in Hanford and raising their three children, daughters Janice and Terri and son Steven. Bill and Irene became naturalized American citizens in 1956. They were married for 53 years before Irene passed away in 1999.
Bill was self-employed in the wholesale meat business, and later worked for Kwik Break in Lemoore before retiring. He was a longtime member of the Hanford Elks Lodge. Bill was quick with a joke or story, and was known as "Hodgie" to many of his longtime friends.
In recent years, Bill found companionship with longtime family friend Marian “Patty” Nardini of Hanford. Bill and Patty enjoyed more than 14 happy years together and had the opportunity to travel to Hawaii.
Bill is survived by two daughters, Janice and husband Randy Dunn of Hanford, and Terri Rocha and partner Jon Earnest of Hanford; one son, Steven Hodges and wife Liz of Hanford; three grandchildren, Sean Hodges and wife Heidi of Hanford, Kevin Hodges and wife Sarah of Kerman, and Jeremy Rocha of Hanford; and two great-grandchildren, Heather Hodges and Sean Ryan Hodges of Hanford.
