

He is survived by his beloved wife of 57 yrs. Helen L. (Cormier) Murphy. He was the son of Edward and Ethel Murphy of Dorchester and brother of Mildred Garneau, Ethel Souza and his late brother Billy Murphy.
Eddie and Helen are survived by 4 children, Joseph Murphy and his wife Lesly of Plymouth, Christine (Murphy) DelPrete of Rockland, Sherri-Lynn (Murphy) Rice and her partner Chris, Kathaleen (Murphy) Pigeon and her Husband Doug of Kingston. They were also blessed with 11 Grandchildren, John Murphy, Robert Murphy, Samantha Murphy, Kayla Pigeon, Casey (Murphy) Andrews her husband Jordan Andrews, Nick DelPrete, Melinda Pigeon, Joe DelPrete, Mitchell Rice, Derek DelPrete, Rachel Rice, and 2 Great Grandchildren Jaeda and Jazlyn, daughters of Casey and Jordan Andrews of Rockland.
Eddie (Murph) enjoyed any large family gathering that involved dancing with Helen the Twist was one of the favorites of his and all of us to watch. He also enjoyed riding his Lawn Mower with his children, Nieces and Nephews and Grandchildren in the trailer whenever he had the chance to. He also enjoyed riding around the yard in his Harley Davidson Golf Cart with anyone brave enough to sit with him.
He enjoyed drawing and doodling on spare paper on the kitchen table. Eddie "grandpa" was very involved teaching all of them how to work with their hands. From gardening to welding he was very hands on with all of his grandchildren, teaching them many important life skills. Memories that they will cherish forever.
He was a dedicated employee since the age of 15 for 47 years for National Industrial Uniform Rental Services Inc. Interstate Uniform Currently known as Unifirst U1st.
Visiting hours in the Sullivan Funeral Home, 45 East Water St in Rockland on Friday from 4-7 PM. All other services will be private.
