Mrs. Elaine M. MacDonald Hamilton, 69 of Hanover died Saturday, April 18, 2009 at the South Shore Hospital in Weymouth after a long illness. The daughter of the late Collin and Mary Crowley MacDonald, she was born in Boston on July 29, 1939. Mrs. Hamilton was active in Girl Scouts, St. Mary's Church and a member of the Secular Order of Franciscan's. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Eugene W. Hamilton, 5 children, Nora T. Hamilton of NH, Ann M. Spink and her husband, Richard of Sandwich, Karen L. Curran and her husband, Michael of Lakeville, Eugene W. Hamilton and his wife Eliana of Whitman and Janet L. Hamilton of Marshfield. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 6 siblings and many nieces and nephews. Funeral Mass on Wednesday at 9 AM in St. Mary of the Sacred Heart Church, 392 Hanover St., Rte 139 in Hanover. Interment in Hanover Center Cemetery. Visiting hours in the Sullivan Funeral Home, 551 Washington St., Rte 53 in HANOVER on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM.
