Eric was born to Lora and Coleman J. Anderson Jr. in Boston, MA on August 31 1961. The three lived in Dorchester, MA and moved to Avon, MA when Eric was a teenager. He worked at Proctor and Gamble before working at Genzyme for about two decades until he experienced kidney failure and was permanently disabled.
Eric graduated from Blue Hills Vocational High School in 1979 where he took electrical and played baseball. He went on to graduate from Bridgewater State in 1987 with a Bachelors in Management Science, where he met his wife, Lisa Anderson. They married on May 2, 1992 surrounded by friends and family. In 1996, Eric and Lisa had their first daughter, Kaylyn, shortly after their second daughter, Lindsey, and in 2001 their first son, James. In 2022, he was blessed with his grandson, William, whom he cherished. We will never forget the way Eric’s eyes would light up when William entered the room.
Eric had an amazing work ethic. He worked long hours to make sure his family was taken care of and loved. He loved watching his children play sports and was always one of, if not the loudest parents cheering on his kids. Despite his health conditions and working long hours, he would find the time to help his kids practice soccer, baseball, softball and basketball. He also took pride in maintaining his cars, home, and taking care of his elderly parents.
Eric’s favorite pastimes included fishing, listening to music on his stereo, and taking trips to Cape Cod, where some of his best memories were made. He loved bringing his family down the Cape on spontaneous day trips and for a week every July up until recent years. One of our newest traditions was renting a boat and spending the day fishing, a tradition that we wish he was still here with us for.
Eric was preceded in death by his father Coleman J. Anderson Jr., his brothers, Coleman K. Anderson, Stephen Anderson and many beloved family members and pets.
He is survived by his wife, Lisa Anderson, his mother, Lora Anderson, his children Kaylyn Anderson (William J. Madden), Lindsey Anderson, James Anderson, and his beloved grandson, William W. Madden, and many family members.
