Eugene W. Hamilton

Mr. Eugene W. Hamilton, 71 of Hanover died Sunday, October 18, 2009 in the South Shore Hospital in Weymouth. The son of the late Herbert and Nora Murphy Hamilton, he was born in Weymouth on August 14, 1938. He was raised and educated in Weymouth and was a graduate of Northeastern University with a degree in Civil Engineering. Mr. Hamilton was a self employed Structural Engineer. He was the loving husband of 47 years to the late Elaine M. MacDonald Hamilton who died in April 2009. He was the devoted father of Nora T. Hamilton of NH, Ann M. Spink and her husband Richard of Sandwich, Karen L. Curran and her husband Michael of Lakeville, Eugene W. Hamilton and his wife, Eliana of Whitman and Janet L. Hamilton of Marshfield, 9 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Richard Hamilton. Mr. Hamilton never allowed his physical body to hinder his undaunted sprit, which will remain a Beacon of Hope to his children and grandchildren. Visiting hours in the Sullivan Funeral Home, 551 Washington Street, Rte 53 in HANOVER on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Funeral Mass on Thursday at 9 AM in St. Mary of the Sacred Heart Church, 392 Hanover St., Rte 139 in Hanover. Interment in Hanover Center Cemetery.
