

Born in Boston, Brad was the son of the late Francis “Bud” Cooley and Carmella “Penny” Cooley. He is survived by his brother, Richard Cooley, and his wife Carla of Ridgefield, Connecticut. He was predeceased by his sister, Patricia Gaudet of Dorchester.
Brad leaves behind his loving niece, Beth Sweeney, and her husband James of Hanover; his nephews, Scott Gaudet and his wife Lisa of San Diego, California, and Sean Gaudet and his wife Jennifer of Hanover. He is also survived by four great‑nieces, three great‑nephews, and one great‑great niece.
A longtime member of the Knights of Columbus in Dorchester. He was a retired bus driver, a driver’s education instructor and lunch monitor at Hingham High School, where he guided countless students with patience and good humor.
Brad was a lifelong dog lover, especially devoted to his beloved Beau, who was often seen riding alongside him in his truck. Above all, Brad cherished his nieces and nephews, who remained steadfastly by his side, especially in recent years as he faced various health challenges.
He will be remembered for his devotion to the Catholic church and the deep love he held for his family.
Visitation in the Sullivan Funeral Home, 551 Washington St. Rte. 53, Hanover, on Friday, February 13th from 11-12pm with a funeral home service at 12pm. Due to recent weather, the burial at Hanover Center Cemetery has been moved to Friday, February 20th at 1pm.
