George E. Peterson

George E. "Petey" Peterson, a veteran of Hanover passed away on December 23, 2020. George was a loyal New England Patriots fan. He loved going to the games with his son Jeff and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. George loved watching them play sports, he would go from the basketball court to the football field to the hockey rinks to see them play.

George enjoyed traveling with his beloved companion Peggy and their friends Peggy and Kevin. They enjoyed going on cruises and spending time in Florida.

Beloved companion of Peggy Early. Dear father of Julie and husband John McGuire of Braintree, Ma Jeff and wife Minnie Peterson of Holbrook, Ma. Loving Pa to Olivia and Michael McGuire, Casey and Haley Peterson. Late son of George Peterson and Margaret Harris. Brother of Kathleen Peterson O’Brien, William Peterson and the late Linda McDougall. Survived by his beloved second family of Peggy Early; Christine, Stacey, Mark, Stephen, Bernie, Kenny, and grandchildren Christopher, Matthew, Justin, and Jack.

Visiting hours in the Sullivan Funeral Home, 551 Washington St, Rte 53 in Hanover on Thursday morning from 10-12 noon. Burial will follow at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
