
Gerald J. Higgins, 65, of Pembroke died Wednesday, March 6, 2002 in the VA Medical Center in West Roxbury after a long illness. The son of the late Andrew and Abbie MacDonald Higgins, he was born in Boston on January 15,1937. He was raised and Educated in Hingham and has lived in Pembroke over 40 years. He was employed as a Carpenter for Union Local #424 in Braintree. He was a Member of the Union and was a 24 year Friend of Bill W. Mr. Higgins served in the Marine Corp during the Korean War. He is survived by his Wife, Beverly A. Thomas Higgins, 3 sons, Brian T. Higgins of Pembroke, James M. Higgins of Hingham and Gerald J. Higgins of Pembroke, 2 daughters, Tracy A. Stowell of Pembroke and Kelley J. McKenna of Marshfield, a brother Richard Higgins of Hingham, a sister, Patricia Nicketson of Plymouth and 8 Grandchildren. Funeral Service in the Sullivan Funeral Home, 551 Washington Street, Rte 53 in Hanover on Saturday, March 9, 2002 at 10 AM. Interment in Pembroke Center Cemetery. Visiting Hours on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM.
