John Manning

John J. Manning, 59 of Abington, passed away on August 15, 2024. Born in Boston on August 4, 1965, he was the son of the late Thomas and Nora (Feerick) Manning. John was a graduate of Quincy High School and he was employed at Tassinari Construction Co. in Rockland, whom he loved as his family. He was commissioner on the Abington-Rockland Joint Waterworks. Inventor of the mechanical joint MJ-Hammer. He worked as a contractor on complex projects with Boston Water and Sewer and Massport Authority. In his free time, John enjoyed golfing.

John was the beloved husband of Alaine M. (Zaborski) Manning. Devoted father of Rachel N. Manning and Shawn M. Manning, both of Abington. Dear brother of Coleen Fishman and her husband Peter of Sudbury, Keith Manning of Gloucester, Thomas Manning of Seattle, WA and the late Joseph Manning. Loving uncle of Max and Charlie Fishman, Keith Jr. and Caycee Manning. John also leaves his cherished dog, Rover.

Friends and family are invited to attend a celebration of life will be held at Braintree Sons of Italy - 161 King Hill Rd., Braintree, MA on September 7th from 12:00PM-4:00PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in John's memory can be made to the American Heart Association, 93 Worcester St, Wellesley, MA 02481.
