Linnea “Lindy” Holt

Linnea M. “Lindy” (Dodge) Holt, 72 of Hanson, passed away on December 23, 2024. Born on November 19, 1952 in Weymouth and raised in Rockland, she was the daughter of the late James C. and Linnea (Lukkarinen) Dodge, as well as William "Mac" McCarthy after James' early passing.

Lindy worked for many years as a waitress at the Pembroke Country Club. She was the beloved wife of the late Richard "Dick" W. Holt. Dick built Lindy a log cabin home in Hanson, where they raised their family. They had many pets over the years, but she especially loved dogs and butterflies. She enjoyed traveling, going to the beach and going out to eat. Lindy cherished a special relationship with her granddaughter, Alyssa.

Lindy was the mother of Richard Holt and his wife Karissa of New Hampshire, Robert Holt of Hanson, and Lisa Holt of Bridgewater. Mummo to her granddaughter, Alyssa Dunlap of Hanson. Sister of the late James C. Dodge, Jr. of Missouri. She will be remembered as a loving and caring mother, grandmother and friend to many.

Lindy will be laid to rest at Fern Hill Cemetery in Hanson with her husband Dick, on Friday, June 6th at 11am.
