Marie R. Buckley Hanlon

Marie R. Buckley Hanlon, 62, of Hanson died Friday, September, 20, 2002 in the Boston Medical Center after a brief illness. The daughter of Mary Gibbons-Buckley Marotta of East Bridgewater and the late Walter Buckley, she was born in Boston oh December 12, 1939. She was raised and educated in Dorchester and had lived in Hanson for 32 years. Mrs. Hanlon was a Graduate of St. Elizabeth's School of Nursing. She was a Registered Nurse for 40 years spending 31 at the Brockton Hospital until her retirement last year. She Was currently a Trustee of the Hanson Public Library, a Family Ambassador for the Special Olympics and was & Past Member of the Hanson Tri-Town Lions Club. Wife of the late John P. Hanlon, she is survived by 2 sons, David Hanlon and his wife Maryann of Hanson and Yon Patrick Hanlon also of Hanson, 2 daughters, Margaret Hanlon of OH and Susan Blauss and her Husband Donald of Carver, Her Mother, Mary Gibbons Marotta of East Bridgewater, a brother, John J. Buckley of Lakeland FL, 2 sisters, Ellen P. Murphy of Brighton and Margaret A. Quinnof FL, a cousin, Margaret Mosher of Walpole, a close friend, Sheila Piccolo of Canada and 12 Grandchildren. Visiting Hours in the Sullivan Funeral Home, Corner of Rte 14 & 58 at 814 Indian Head Street, Hanson on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. A Private Service and Interment will be held at a later date.
