Marie E. Malone

Marie E. (Verney) Malone, 97 of Hanson, formerly of North Weymouth, passed away on December 1, 2014. Born in Boston on May 8, 1917, she was the daughter of the late Walter A. and Catherine G. (Shine) Verney. She was employed as a proof reader for Harland Check. Marie was a member of St. Joseph's Society for many years. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, and bowling. Marie was the beloved wife of the late John T. Malone. Devoted mother of John T. Malone Jr. and his wife Elaine of North Weymouth, Daniel S. Malone and his wife Margaret of Wareham, Edward W. Malone and his wife Ann of Whitman, Jeanne Taylor of Hanson, and Kathleen Dugan and her husband Jack of Hanson. Sister of the late Richard Verney, Walter Verney, and Irene Gould. Cherished grandmother of 9 and great-grandmother of 6. Marie also leaves several nieces and nephews. Visiting hours in the Sullivan Funeral Homes, 2 Maquan St, Cor. Rte. 14 & 58, HANSON, on Wednesday from 3-7 PM. Funeral mass at St. Joseph the Worker Church, 1 Maquan St. Rte. 14, Hanson, on Thursday at 10AM. Burial in Fern Hill Cemetery.
