Melvin L. Olson

Mr. Melvin L. Olson, 84, of Hanover died Tuesday, April 5, 2005 at the South Shore Hospital in Weymouth after a short illness. He was born in Rockland on January 25, 1921, the son of the late Carl and Amelia Hanson Olson. He was raised and educated in Rockland and was a longtime resident of Hanover. Mr. Olson was a retired Custodian for the Hanover School Department. He enjoyed Hunting and Fishing. Husband of the late Stella F. Curtis Olson, he is survived by 1 son, John L. Olson of Hanover, 3 daughters, Janice M. Lyons of Lakeville and twins, Roanne A. Bonano of Plymouth and Leanne A. Cronin of Hanover and 9 grandchildren. He was the father of the late David Olson. The Rev. Donald Remick will officiate at the Funeral Service to be held on Friday, April 8, 2005 at 11 AM in the Sullivan Funeral Home, 551 Washington Street, Rte 53 in HANOVER. Interment will be in Hanover Center Cemetery. Visiting hours on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM.
