Patricia Joyce

Patricia “Pat” Joyce, 92 of Hanson, passed away on Wednesday, October 9, 2024 surrounded by her loving daughters. Born in 1932 in Boston to the late Martin and Delia Kelly, she grew up in South Boston and Dorchester before moving to Hanson in the early sixties. Beloved wife of the late William I. Joyce. Loving mother of Linda Joyce-Smith and her husband Rick Smith of Hanson, Donna Joyce-Gallagher and her husband John Gallagher of Hanson, Mary Joyce of Plymouth, and the late Patricia “Patti” Joyce-Cole of Hanson. Devoted sister of the late William and Martin Kelly, Helen Jaquith, Kay Madill, Rosemary Kelly, Christine Morrissey and Michael Kelly. Dear grandmother of Valerie Myette and husband Chris, Will Joyce, John M. Gallagher, Patricia “Trisha” Cole and Alex Cole.  Adored by her two great grandchildren Ryan and Evelyn Myette. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.  Pat was a sweet, kind, loving woman who was cherished by her daughters and all who knew her. Her greatest pleasure in life was spending time with her family. She had a wonderful sense of humor, laughed easily and often, and was known to be hilariously sassy from time to time. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Services for Pat are being held privately for the family. She will be laid to rest at Fern Hill Cemetery in Hanson. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Pat’s name may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. This charity was dear to her heart, and she supported St. Jude for more than 25-years.
