Patricia A. Murray

Patricia A. Murray passed away peacefully on the evening of Friday, December 23, 2022 at the South Shore Hospital in Weymouth, living to the age of 94 years. She was the beloved wife of the late George Murray, loving daughter of the late Louise Taylor, and dear sister of the late David Taylor. She is survived by her sister Barbara Haley and her son James Murray with his wife Linda. She was a warm, loving and generous grandmother to Daniel, Evan and Noelle Murray.

Patricia was born on March 3 in 1928 and moved to Norwell in 1955. She was a graduate of Weymouth High in 1946 and went to work in the Telephone Company until giving birth to James, her son, several years later. Making her home a warm, loving and nurturing place was her top priority during those early years. She was very talented in home decoration and design and her home was always a showplace. Perfectly kept flower gardens and lawn made her very happy. Working on her gardens was something she loved doing. She lived briefly in Puerto Rico right on the beach and had an amazing time there. Pat and her husband George loved to travel and spent time in Marco Island, FL during the winter months. They both took an epic trip to England and Europe which she spoke of fondly for many years after. Patricia was happiest spending time with her family and making her home beautiful. She was truly an exceptional woman who was strong, generous, intelligent and loving. Patricia made a lasting impact and will be sorely missed.

Visitation in the Sullivan Funeral Home, 551 Washington Street, Rte 53 in Hanover on Wednesday morning from 9 to 10 followed by a funeral home service. Burial at Washington Street Cemetery in Norwell.
