Robert M. Bowen

Robert M. Bowen, 79 of Hanover, passed away on September 23, 2013 surrounded by his loving family. Son of the late Lawrence J. and Gertrude T. Maloney Bowen, he was born in Brockton on September 29, 1933. Robert proudly served in the United States Army in 1954-1956. He was employed as a printer at Halladay Lithograph in Hanover and retired in 1997. Robert loved the ocean, traveling, sports, bowling, horseshoes, gardening, and fishing. Robert was the devoted husband of the late Roberta E. Hunter Bowen. Loving father of Laura A. Owens and her husband Richard of Hanover, Linda J. Ryan and her husband Christian of East Bridgewater, and Valerie Tranfaglia and her husband Steven of Whitman. Dear brother of Lawrence J. Bowen of Hanover and the late John Bowen. Cherished grandfather of Kelly, Matthew, and Richard. Robert is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visiting hours in the Sullivan Funeral Homes, 551 Washington St. Rte. 53 in HANOVER on Thursday from 4-7PM. Funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Mary of the Sacred Heart Church, 392 Hanover St. Rte. 139 in Hanover on Friday at 10AM. Interment will be private.
