

Robert L. "Bob" Dagesse, 47 of Rockland died unexpectedly on Saturday, September 8, 2012 while participating in a charity bike race for the Floating Hospital. The son of Doris Plaud Dagesse of Brockton and Arthur Dagesse and his wife Carol Tofanelli-Dagesse also of Brockton, he was born in Brockton on May 16, 1965. Bob was a 1983 graduate of Brockton High and a 1988 graduate of Northeastern University. In addition to a passion for Boston sports teams , he excelled in baseball, playing in little league, high school, college and semi pro for the Brockton Tigers. As a father, Bob continued his passion for sports coaching his son Corey in Rockland Youth Baseball and Rockland Youth Hockey, his son Max in Rockland Youth Football, his daughter Emma in Rockland Youth Basketball, Rockland Youth Soccer and Cardinal Spellman 2012 Summer League and recently, he was coaching varsity baseball at South Shore Christian Academy as well as playing in an adult hockey league. Bob was also a past assistant scout master of Boy Scouts of America Troop 113 of Rockland and recently helped his son Max to complete the requirements to achieve the rank of Eagle Scout. Bob was a merit badge counselor and a proud member of BSA Order of the Arrow. In his professional life, Bob was a partner at Dagesse and Bramwell, Inc an accounting firm in Hanover and was a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants. Along with being survived by his parents he was the loving husband of Jennifer Drinan Dagesse, devoted father of Corey, Max and Emma and loving brother of Leonard of NC, Thomas of NY and Jeannine Maus and her husband Michael of NC, loving sisters-in law Kathie Peuser and her husband David of Rockland, Laura Irving and her husband Rich of East Bridgewater and Faith Lee and her husband John of Abington, special son in law of Douglas Drinan of Rockland and dear friend and business partner Jerry Bramwell. Bob is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews of the Dagesse and Drinan families. Visiting hours in the Sullivan Funeral Home, 45 East Water St., Rockland on Wednesday from 2-4PM and 7-9PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday at 9:00 in Holy Family Church, 403 Union St., Rockland. Interment at a later date.
