
Robert A. Larson, a resident of Norwell MA, passed away peacefully in his home with his family on August 28th 2013. He was 76 years old. Bob was the son of Alton and Esther Larson from Yarmouthport, MA. He was a graduate of Northeastern University and a served as a Captain in the United States Army Signal Corps. Bob Larson was an internationally renowned expert in the diecutting industry. He began his career in the family owned business, Boston Cutting Die and later became a respected publisher and speaker through his consulting business, Larson Worldwide. Bob was an organizing member of the Diemaking and Diecutting Association DDA, the National Association of Diemaking and Diecutting NADD, and the International Association of Diecutting and Diemaking IADD. He received a number of awards and recognition for his significant contributions in the converting and die making industry. Bob Larson also had a lifelong commitment to the Boy Scouts of America. He served in numerous scouting roles on the troop, district and council level within the Old Colony Council and Troop 66. His 44 years of service and long list of accomplishments in Scouting were recently recognized by proclamation of the MA House of Representatives. Bob is survived by his wife of 53 years Letitia Larson of Norwell MA, his favorite daughter Christa Larson of Norwell MA, two sons Erik Larson of Ashland OR, and Mark Larson and his wife Amy Livingston of Burlington VT, three grandchildren, Nicholas and Andrew Thomson of Norwell, and Mariah Larson of Burlington VT, and two sisters, Norma Atwood of South Yarmouth, MA and Linda Larson of Yarmouthport, MA. Visiting hours in the Sullivan Funeral Homes, 551 Washington St, HANOVER on Saturday, August 31 from 2-4PM, followed by a funeral home service at 4PM. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been set up in Bob's name to benefit the Boy Scouts of the Old Colony Council and the proposed Robert A. Larson Memorial Park at Camp Squanto in Plymouth. He was an outstanding husband, father, community, and business leader. He will be greatly missed.
