

Robert N. Lyons, 73, formerly of Dorchester and a resident of Hanover for the past 40 years, passed away on October 14, 2015. Born in Boston on September 14, 1942, he was the son of the late George and Marjorie (Killion) Lyons. He was the founder and owner of 40 years of Salon 200, Robert Lyons On and Off Broadway and Robert Lyons Creative Hair Company. He had served as chairman of the cosmetology board and was a former Veterans Agent for the towns of Hanover and Duxbury. He had served as the President of Southeastern Veterans Agents Association. Robert served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Robert is survived by his wife Nancy C. (Castellarin) Lyons and his children Robert Lyons and his wife Kelly of Pembroke and Toni DeWitt and her husband Tom of Hanover. He was the brother of George Jr. and his wife Joan of Canton, Joseph and his wife Linda of Naples, FL, Paul of Canton, Richard and his wife Ellen of Hanover, and the late Edward Lyons. Robert was the beloved papa of Haley Lyons and Sean and Ryan DeWitt, beloved godfather of Julie Lyons of Hanover and is survived by many nieces and nephews. Visiting hours in the Sullivan Funeral Homes, 551 Washington Street, Rte. 53, HANOVER, on Monday from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10 AM at St Mary of the Sacred Heart Church, 392 Hanover Street, Hanover. Burial to follow at Hanover Center Cemetery.
