

Sean M. Murphy, 50 of Duxbury, formerly of Winchester, passed away on August 3, 2019, following a brave journey with heart failure and a heart transplant last year. Sean was born on September 29, 1968. He started building things at the age of 8, revealing his talents at a young age. After graduating from Syracuse University in 1990, he followed his interests and strengths and developed his craft as a master carpenter and general contractor with a reputation for excellence. Sean loved to build, golf, consume news, and spend time with his siblings and family. His two greatest passions in life were hard work, especially alongside his nephew, Cole, and spending every moment possible with his beloved daughter, Molly.
Sean is survived by his wife Suzanne (Sergi) Murphy and their daughter Molly C. Murphy of Duxbury. Beloved son of Robert and Barbara (Marchesi) Murphy of Winchester. Dear brother of Christine Murphy of Yarmouth Port, Rob Murphy and his wife, Tacey of North Reading, Scott Murphy and his wife, Kate of Winchester and Andrea Okie and her husband, Seeley of Concord. Sean also leaves many loving nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours in the Sullivan Funeral Home, 551 Washington St. Rte. 53, Hanover, on Sunday, August 11th from 2-6pm. Funeral mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Assumption, 40 Canal St, Marshfield on Monday at 9am.
The Heart Failure and Cardiac Transplant Center at Tufts Medical Center, as well as Sean’s heart donor, gave Sean the gift of life.
