

Bill was raised in Milton Massachusetts. He was the son of William H. Ferry and Amy Hull Ferry. After high school, Bill had several jobs, including being an oil burner repairman and driving tractor trailers for Rich’s Express.
He enlisted in the Army and was a member of the Army Reserves.
He became a Milton Police Officer in 1967. He retired from the Milton Police in 1997 as a Lieutenant. He was also a longtime employee of Cunningham Park, in Milton. During his retirement, he was a driver for Good Brothers Dodge in Weymouth.
In addition to working 2 jobs, Bill also went to night school and obtained his Associates and Bachelor’s Degrees from Northeastern University. He received his Masters degree in Criminal Justice from Anna Maria College.
Bill enjoyed spending time with his family. He was also a musician, playing guitar and singing since his early teens.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Vera-Jean (Ferrari) Ferry, his daughter, Leanne Whitcomb and her husband Stephen of Hanson. Loving Grandfather to Benjamin F. Whitcomb. Brother in Law to Rick Ferrari and his wife Valerie of Mashpee and Mark Ferrari of Millville, MA. He also is survived by several nieces and nephews.
