

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, Alice Hager, who left us in the early morning of May 15 , 2026 after a long battle with Lupus, surrounded by her loving family.
Born and raised in South Boston, MA, Alice met the love of her life, Jack Hager, and together they built a life full of love, laughter, and memories lasting 62 years together.
In 1975, they moved to the South Shore, settling in Hanson, MA, where they raised their four children, instilling in them the values of family, kindness, and unwavering support. Alice's life was defined by her deep devotion to her husband, children, and grandchildren. She dedicated her heart and soul to her family, nurturing each of them with love, care, and an unbreakable bond.
Alice was the loving mother of Sharon Mara and her husband John Mara of Hanover, MA, Dan Hager of Hanson, MA, Jennifer Ryan and her husband Kevin Ryan of Pembroke, MA, and Mark Hager and his wife Lynna Hager of Attleboro, MA. Her love extended beyond her children to her eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren, who she adored with every inch of her heart: John Mara, Michael Mara, Brandon Hager, Shayla Hager, Ella Ryan, Kevin "Kevo" Ryan, Anna Hager, Alexander "Alex" Hager, Johnny Mara and Kira Mara.
Alice was predeceased by her parents, John and Alice Walsh, of South Boston, MA and she also leaves behind her two beloved sisters, Kathleen Walsh and Donna Higgins, who continue to reside in South Boston in the neighborhood where Alice was born and raised.
Her loss leaves a void in our hearts that can never be filled, but we take comfort in knowing that her love, guidance, and strength will live on in all of us. We are forever grateful for the immense impact she had on our lives.

Alice’s legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will forever be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and love, which she so freely gave to everyone around her.
Rest in peace, Wife, Mom and Nana. You will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a visiting hours in the Sullivan Funeral Home 2 Maquan St., Hanson on Wed. May 20th from 4-7 PM. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Thursday May 21st at 10 AM. Burial to follow in Fern Hill Cemetery, Hanson.
