Harry “Sonny” Del Tufo, 87, of Hanson passed away peacefully on May 17, surrounded by the love of his family. He was the beloved husband of 64 years to Jane (Petrilli) Del Tufo.
Devoted father of John and his wife Beth of Kingston, Chuck and his wife DeAnn of Dallas, Kelly and her husband Robert of Bridgewater and the late Laura Del Tufo. Cherished Papa of 7 and the Proud Great-Papa of 2.
Sonny was born and raised in Boston and proudly served his country as a member of the 101st Airborne Division. He was a graduate of Boston State College and went on to dedicate many years of service to the City of Boston as a Sergeant Detective with the Boston Police Department before his retirement.
Sonny will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his sense of humor and quick wit and the lasting impact he made on all who knew him.
At the request of the family, services will be private.
