Esther “Es” Peters, 85, of Leo, passed away on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at Parkview Regional Medical Center. Born on April 4, 1931 in Woodburn, she was a daughter of the late Samuel and Saloma Delagrange; and was a member of Maplewood Mennonite Church, Fort Wayne. She is survived by her daughter, Jacki (Jim) Moore of Fort Wayne; sons, Tim (Melissa) Peters of Harlan, Ind., and Tom (Patrice) Peters of Fort Wayne; Sisters, Amanda Delagrange, Viola (Dan) Yoder, Dorothy Eberly and Carloyn Ewing; brothers, Jacob (Sandy) Delagrange and Garry (Pat) Delagrange; eight grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Clarence D. Peters; sister, Mary Stoner; and brothers, Andrew, Ora and Robert Delagrange.
Memorial Service will be 3pm, Thursday, January 12, 2017, at Maplewood Mennonite Church, 4129 Maplecrest Rd, Fort Wayne, with calling from 1 to 3pm, prior to service. Memorials may be given to Maplewood Mennonite Church Food bank or Freedom Hall Recovery Center.
