Zella Louise Schaefer, 94, of Leo, passed away on Friday, November 27, 2015 at the Cedars, Leo. Born on October 21, 1921 in Fort Wayne, she was a daughter of the late Clyde and Iva (Buda) Fordham. Zella was a wonderful homemaker and a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Harlan. She is survived by her son, Roger (Stephania) Schaefer of Harlan; five grandchildren, Julie (Dave) Grubb, Jeff (Deb) Brinck, Amy (Tom) Beesley, Kristi (Brian) Stanley, and Aaron (Marcia) Schaefer; and several great grandchildren and great great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William Schaefer Jr.; daughter, Dian Brinck; brother, Elvin Fordham; and son-in-law, John Brinck. Funeral Service will be at 10:30am on Saturday, December 5, 2015 at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 18330 SR-37, Harlan, with calling one hour prior. Calling will also be from 3-7pm on Friday, December 4, 2015 at Hockemeyer Funeral Home, 17629 SR-37, Harlan. Burial at Scipio Cemetery, Harlan. Memorials may be made to the church or to Lutheran Social Services of Indiana.
