Ofelia Martinez

Ofelia “Fela” Martinez, 82, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 18, 2012, at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen, Texas surrounded by her loving family. She was our loving Mother, Gradmother, and Great-Grandmother. She was a faithful, loving and strong-willed woman who helped and enjoyed raising all her grandchildren. You will be greatly missed, loved and will remain in our hearts forever.

She is preceded in death by her son, Octaviano “Tovi” Martinez.

She is survived by her son, Felipe Martinez; and two daughters, Sofia (Clemente Jr.) Garza, and Margarita Melendez. She is also survived by 21 grandchildren and 53 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Monday, February 20, 2012 from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Chapel and Tuesday, February 21, 2012 from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at St. Ignatius Church in El Ranchito, Texas. To follow up on time of Mass, please contact the funeral home. Interment will follow at Esparza Family Cemetery in El Ranchito, Texas.
