Kevin Russell Duzan

Mr. Kevin Russell Duzan, 48, of 543 W. Houstonville Rd., Hamptonville, died September 16, 2013 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. Born in Abilene, Texas on March 10, 1965, he was a son of James Duzan of Sedalia, Mo. and the late Audrey Wood Duzan. Kevin was employed in the parts department of Black Automotive. He loved his family and church, Holly Springs Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon. He was a car enthusiast and enjoyed riding four wheelers. He loved the mountains and the beach.

Survivors in addition to his father, include his wife, Melissa Myers Duzan whom he married on June 22, 1984, two sons, Jeremy Duzan of Harmony and Jacob Duzan of the home and his girlfriend, Alisha Parsons. Also surviving are a sister, Jenni Nantz and her husband, Brent of Statesville, his sister-in-law, Annette Baity and her husband, Matt and their daughter, Belle of Statesville, and his mother and father-in-law, Richard and Claudia Myers of Harmony. Also surviving is his dog, Sammy.

Services celebrating Kevin's life will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Friday at Holly Springs Baptist Church with Dr. Cliff Gwaltney, Rev. Brandon Gwaltney and Rev. David Holcomb officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will then receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall. Active pallbearers will be: Matt Baity, Stacy Jarvis, Scott Goodwin, Duane Troutman, Chris Stills, Chris Robinson, Jeffrey Mahoney and David Tomlin. Honorary pallbearers will be the deacons of Holly Springs Baptist Church.

At other times, the family will be assembled at the residence of the deceased.
