Lonnie James Harris

Mr. Lonnie James (Big Jim) Harris, 68, of 236 Piney Grove Rd. Harmony, died Wednesday morning, July 31st, at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem. Born March 10, 1945, he was a son of the late Lonnie Alexander Harris and Edna Anderson Harris. He was employed by Tyson Inc.

Survivors include three sons, Sammy Harris (Angie) of W. Columbia, S.C., Mike Harris (Becky) of Harmony and Andy Harris (Kim) of Leesville, S.C., two daughters, Jeannie Harris of Gaston, S.C. and Melissa Cruz of Harmony. Also surviving is a broher, Joe Harris of Harmony, 19 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and his former wife, Libby Harris Oswald of Leesville, S.C.

Services celebrating Big Jim's life will be conducted at 3:00 P.M. Saturday August 3rd at the Ernest M. Troutman Memorial Chapel of Reavis Funeral Home Of Harmony wth Rev. Randy Goodin officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
