

Mrs. Willa Mae Johnson Trivette, 90, of Hamptonville, died Tuesday, February 1, 2011 at Iredell Memorial Hospital. Born in Wilkes County on July 28, 1920, she was a daughter of the late William Hardin Johnson and Golena Foster Johnson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Levi Earl Trivette, a son, Earl (Mac) Trivette, a daughter, Irene Trivette Tutterrow, a grandson, Timothy Henderson and a son-in-law, James Donald Tutterrow. Also preceding her in death were a brother, Pete Johnson and six sisters, Lottie Keith, Maggie Wood, Iris Cheek, Myrtle Ireland, Bonnie Norman, and Beatrice Trivette.
Mrs. Trivette attended Union Grove School and loved to grow plants and be outside. She loved talking to her friends on the phone and going to church to worship God. She was one of the best mothers and grandmothers in the world. Her four children were her pride and joy. She did an excellent job of bringing them up. She taught them to love Jesus and to live right. She was a member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church.
Left to cherish her memory are a daughter, Geneva Ardina Trivette Henderson and her husband, Buford of Statesville and a son, Nathan Trivette and his wife, Elizabeth of East Bend. Also surviving are grandchildren: James Tutterrow (Tina), Bryan Tutterrow (Melanie), Marcella Tutterrow (Scott), Michael Trivette (Phyllis), Amanda Trivette, Charles Trivette (Rachel) and Cindy Trivette Whalen(Richard). along with great grandchildren:Sidney Trivette, Wesley Trivette, Jed Reavis, Terri Leigh McDaniels Redmon (Chad), Emily Trivette, Ben Trivette, Jacob Tutterrow, Matthew Tutterrow, Brennon Tutterrow, Kate Tutterrow, Annie Tutterrow and Adam Tutterrow and a great-great grandson, Aiden Tutterrow. Also two special nephews, Paul and Tim Trivette along with several other nieces and nephews.
Services celebrating Mrs. Trivette's life will be conducted at 2:00 Friday at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church in Hamptonville with Pastor Trevor Batchelor officiating. She will lie in state at the church for one hour prior to the service and burial will follow in the Trivette Family Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: James and Bryan Tutterrow, Jed Reavis, Jimmy Trivette, Chad Redmon and Adam Tutterrow. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the church fellowship hall.
