William Bradley Ison Jr.

Mr. William Bradley Ison, Jr., 75, of 528 Grassy Knob Rd. Union Grove, died Saturday, April 23rd at Iredell Memorial Hospital. Born in Defeated Creek, Kentucky on July 1, 1935, he was a son of the late William Bradley Ison, Sr. and Hazel Lee Ison Ison. He was a retired career Naval officer and enjoyed flying, sailing, reading, playing with his computer and watching golf. He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Patsy Sue Caudill on September 17, 1985.

Survivors include two sons, Kevin Ison(Rhonda Dye) of Michigan and Eric Ison ( Daniele) of Virginia Beach, Va., four daughters, Dionne Coburn (Kim) of Clover, S.C., Stephanie Albino (Pedro) of Lee, Maine, Lisa Ragsdale (Christopher) of Oceanside, Calif. and Israel Miju Umberger (Henry) of Culladen, W. Va. Also surviving are brothers, Bobby Kaywood Ison of Bethel Ridge, Kentucky and Ronald Ray Ison of Premium, Kentucky and a sister, Donelda Jo Hubbard of Big Stone Gap, Virginia along with fourteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Services celebrating Mr. Ison's life will be condcted at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday at the Ernest M. Troutman Memorial Chapel of Reavis Funeral Home Of Harmony. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the chapel. Private burial will take place at Grassy Knob Baptist Church Cemetery.
