Alan Paul Steinmeier

He was the son of the late Almer and Margaret (Magee) Steinmeier. In addition to his parents, he is proceeded in death by his sister, Carolyn Kerlin and sister-in-law Gloria Steinmeier.

Alan is survived by his caregivers, his brother, Robert. D. Steinmeier and his nieces; Kelly, Kim, Kristie and nephew Rob. Additionally, he is survived by his siblings; Donald D. Steinmeier (Dottie), Richard C. Steinmeier (Danni), Gayle A. Megonnel (Dennis), Peggy J. Berry (James), Thomas E. Steinmeier (Donna), James D. Steinmeier (Karen), Kathy J. Livingston and Wayne W. Steinmeier (Tracy) and many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.

Alan was an avid Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies fan. Music, dancing, swimming, wrestling and bowling were among his favorite things. He even received a gold medal in the Special Olympics for bowling. He enjoyed traveling with his brother Bob and his family and always looked forward to going to the movies and dinner with his sister Kathy.

He took great pride in his appearance and always had to be clean shaven.

He was the champion of the game Uno; he and his brother Bob played over 35,000 games together throughout the 23 years they lived together.

Alan will be fondly remembered for his sense of humor and belly laughs. He was always ready to give hugs and handshakes to everyone.

A funeral service for Alan will be held on Friday, January 3, 2024, at 1pm at Neill Funeral Home, 3501 Derry St, Harrisburg, PA 17111. A viewing will take place from 11am until the time of the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Rolling Green Cemetery, 1811 Carlisle Rd, Camp Hill, PA 17011.

In honor of Alan - friends are welcome to wear Phillies or Eagles attire.
