Born February 11, 1930, daughter of Rev. Ezra L. and Helen Parks (both deceased) and Widow of James D. Elicker Sr. (retired Fire Chief of Harrisburg, PA). Deceased by brother, Robert E. Parks.
Survivors are Susan J. Elicker, daughter, with whom she lived. Nephews: Malcolm R. Parks his wife Kelly & their children, J. Scott Parks & his ex-wife, Georgia & their daughter & her family of Lewistown.
Retired Principal from the Harrisburg School District. Former Consultant for the Instructo Corporation. Worked cooperatively with the Dept. of Aging to develop Programs for Children & Senior Citizens. She was in charge of the Office Volunteers at the Central PA Chapter of the Arthritis Foundation.
Organizations: Calvary United Methodist Church, the NitWits knitting group of Calvary, Rockview Bridge ABWA, Arthritis Foundation Volunteer and member of the Board of Directors, Life member of PASR, PSEA Retired, NEA.
Education: Derry Twp. High School of Yeagertown, PA, BS Degree in Elementary Education at Loch Haven State College, M. Ed. Degree in Educational Administration at Penn State University.
Per her request a graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, May 8, 2024 at East Harrisburg Cemetery.
