Born in Kos, Greece, to parents George and Hrisokona Koutsos on July 29th, 1927, she immigrated to the United States at the age of 21 when she married her husband, Peter N. Megoulas. When she arrived in America, she took English classes at night to learn the language of the country she now called home.
Working for several years as an employee for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, she retired to take care of her grandson full-time in the late 1990’s. She loved her family and her church dearly. A lifelong member of the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Camp Hill, where she participated in the Daughters of Penelope, Philoptochos Society, and sang in the church choir. One of Ann’s favorite activities was knitting blankets that were given to newborns of the community at their 40-day churching celebrations.
Preceded in death by her husband Peter, she is survived by her sister, Anna Lisgaris (Koutsos), children Colleen Wenzler of Florida, son Christ of Palmyra (wife Angela) and five Grandchildren- Kerri (husband Michael), Stephen (wife Kaija), Stephanie (husband Tyler), Peter, and Evan. Great Grandchildren- Logan, Hailey, & Harper.
Funeral arrangements will take place on Monday, July 17th at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral. Visitation Service: 10:00 AM, Funeral Service 11:00 AM, Internment at Harrisburg East Cemetery following church services, Memorial Luncheon to be held at Progress Grill in Harrisburg, PA.
