Anne C. Richter

Anne C. Richter, 87, of Harrisburg, passed away Monday, June 10, 2013 at Frey Village, Middletown. Born in Harrisburg, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Edith Mary (Octavi) Shisslak and was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Herbert L. Richter; 2 sons, Daniel A. Richter and Herbert M. Richter.

Anne was a graduate of Harrisburg Catholic High School, class of 1944; she was a retired secretary for the Hotel Hershey and was recognized for 8 years of service for the PACE Program.

Anne had a strong faith and was a member of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, Harrisburg.

Anne’s greatest love in life was her family, including her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was an avid listener of audio books and was known for her beautiful smile.

Anne is survived by her 3 daughters, Anne Floyd, husband, Mike; Margie Gephart, husband, Don; Cindy Noll; her son, Ken Richter, wife, Darlene, all of Harrisburg; and her daughter-in-law, Linda Davis Richter, of Milton, De.

She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, Nikki Rymer, husband, Chris; Ashley Chestnut; Michael Floyd; Christopher Floyd, wife, Shaunna; Jennifer Satelle, husband, Chris; Matthew Gephart, wife, Jess; Kyle, Emily and Kevin Richter; and Alicia and Lindsey Noll.

She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren, Kaden and Kylen O’Rourke; Alyssa and Elizabeth Rymer; Julia and Gabriella Satelle; Leah Gephart; and Dylan, Alexis, Bradan and Carter Chestnut.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, June 14, 2013, at 10:30 AM at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, 6150 Allentown Blvd., Harrisburg. Burial will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. A viewing will be held 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM Thursday, June 13, 2013 in the Neill Funeral Home, 3501 Derry St., Harrisburg, recitation of the rosary will be at 8:30 PM, and also a viewing at 9:30 to 10:30 AM Friday, June 14, 2013 at Holy Name of Jesus Church.
