Christine M. Crawford

Christine Crawford passed away on May 29, 2014 in Harrisburg Hospital. Christine was born February 24, 1956 in Harrisburg, PA., the fifth child of the late William and Janie Christine Crawford. She graduated from Harrisburg High School in 1974 and later married her former husband Richard Pyle. Sister, the nickname family and friends lovingly called her, was a retiree from the U.S. Postal Service. She often enjoyed spending time with her family, particularly her grandchildren. She attended the Edgemont Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. She will always be remembered by her humorous personality and her infectious ability to attract friends. She truly walked with kings, but never lost the common touch. Sister has left to cherish her memories a daughter, Rickina Crawford; son, Rick Pyle; 6 sisters, Olive Bass (Charles), Barbara Crawford, Vanessa Patterson, Annette Greene (Antony), Angela Williams (Curley), all of Harrisburg and Valerie Green (Linburg) of Claymont, DE; and 2 brothers, James Crawford and William Crawford Jr. (Diane) of Harrisburg; 3 grandchildren, Jehmale Latham, Jahbree Kershaw and Tamirik Pyle; 1 aunt, Emma Sloane of Tacoma, WA; nieces, nephews, cousins; her congregational family; and a host of friends. She will be deeply missed by all. A service will be held at Neill Funeral Home, 3501 Derry Street in Harrisburg, on Tuesday, June 3rd ,9-10 a.m. visitation, 10 a.m. memorial service.
