Clare Rose Cassel

Clare Rose Cassel, of Harrisburg returned home on Wednesday, March 20, 2013 to enjoy the first day of spring, in the warmth of God’s arms. She was one of 9 children born to the late Mary (Mahalic) and John Miller in Steelton, on August 12, 1918. Surviving and left to carry on her loving memory is her daughter, Patricia A. Ritter, Brother Frank Miller, her 4 grandchildren Michelle Ritter-Heidlebaugh, Lisa A. Ritter, David E. Ritter, Paula Ritter Shermeyer, and 5 great grandchildren. During our time spent with “Nan “, she touched all of our lives and souls, she was always willing to share her great wisdom with us, her presence in our lives remains a gift we will always be thankful for.

Clare was a member of St. Catherine Laboure Church. She retired from Nationwide Insurance and was an active member of her church senior citizen’s club, “Coffee Cup.” She enjoyed gardening, playing cards, traveling, shopping and most of all taking care of her family.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March26 at St. Catherine Laboure Church. The family will receive friends during the visitation from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at her church.
