The Lord took Deanna Lee Rhodes (Ford), 82, of Harrisburg, by the hand, as he escorted her home on January 17, 2021 with family at her side. Deanna was born and raised in Burnham, PA where she met the love of her life before moving to Harrisburg, PA. Deanna was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was blessed with family and friends and thanked God every day for His blessings. She enjoyed spending time with her family, playing piano, coaching Penn Gardens girls' softball, girl scouting and loved the beach, ocean and traveling. She was a long time member of Calvary United Methodist Church and an active member of the Order of the Eastern Star Astro Chapter #380 and the Friendship Senior Center. She retired from Capital Blue Cross in Harrisburg. Deanna was the daughter of late Cletus and Ethel Ivon Ford and was preceded in death by her husband, Rodney L. Rhodes, and three sisters, Anna Ford, Ivon Harpster, and Jean Dalby. She is survived by her sister, Vivian Tully (Francis); four daughters, Anna Maria Kiehl (Doug), Denise Pierce (Charles), Renee Mitterlehner and Michelle Hoffman (Jeff); five granddaughters, Angela Bagnato (Gregory), Jennifer Replogle, Krista Rector (Dennis), Marissa Hoffman and Maggie Mitterlehner along with seven great-grandchildren, Samuel, Anna, Sydney, Andrew and Maximus Bagnato, Weston and Alexis Replogle and Teegan Rector and several nieces and nephews who she loved dearly. Her family wants to express their sincere thanks and appreciation to her caregivers and everyone at Homeland Hospice of Harrisburg that helped her through life's journey. A celebration of her life will be held in Neill Funeral Home, 3501 Derry Street, Harrisburg, on Thursday, January 21, 2021, at 1:00 pm. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. A viewing will be from 12:00 PM Thursday until the time of the service at the funeral home. Donations may be sent to Homeland Hospice of Harrisburg.
