Don was born in Watsontown, PA on July 23, 1940 to the late Harold D. and A. Mae (Tyson) Keiser.
Don had several careers starting as a barber in Paxtang. He was also a supervisor in the trucking industry as well as with American Steel and Aluminum in Middletown from which he retired. During his retirement years he enjoyed being a handyman for the local community while also working for Highspire Auto and Trucking Repair.
During his lifetime he loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed gardening, crabbing at the beach, woodworking and most of all watching his 5 grandchildren participate in their sports and activities. Most days you could find Don sitting on the front porch with a cup of coffee, greeting the neighbors as they walked their pets.
In addition to his wife Rosemary, Don is survived by his son, Don and wife Stephanie of Mechanicsburg and daughter Deb Rietmulder and husband Joe of Lewisberry. Grandchildren, Lyndi A (Kyle) Janny, Steven J (Sarah) Rietmulder, Megan L (Andrew) Smeigh, Nicki (Seth) Ledford and Tori Kye (Quinn) Slonaker. Great-grandchildren Hayden, Autumn, Molly and Hudson. Don is also survived by a brother Ronald (Priscilla) Keiser and sister Patricia Thomas both of Watsontown along with several nieces and nephews.
Services to be held Monday, August 24, 2020 at Neill Funeral Home, Harrisburg PA. Visitation at 10 with services to follow at 11.
