

Born in Harrisburg on January 25, 1951 to the late Donald L. Zimmerman Sr. and Doris Jean (Glazier) Deckman.
Donald is survived by his loving wife Sharon; his daughters, Blaine Zimmerman and Ali Davis (Mitchell); his son, Brandon Zimmerman (Kiera); grandchildren, Cortnee, Chris, Abbee, Stevee, Bryant, Josiah, Aurora and Chloe; great grandchildren, Jamie, Cassius, Ciara and Raelyn; sisters, Pat McKee (Sam) and Darla Williams, and his brother Dennie Zimmerman.
He is preceded in passing by his brother William Zimmerman.
We honor the life and legacy of Donald, a proud United States Marine who served his country with courage, strength, and unwavering dedication. As a recipient of the Purple Heart, Donald bore the scars of war — a solemn testament to his bravery and sacrifice in defense of our freedoms.
His service went beyond the battlefield. He carried the values of the Marine Corps — honor, courage, and commitment — into every part of his life.
Donald was a skilled self contractor and devoted Capital Area Greenbelt volunteer. Known for his outgoing personality and generous spirit, he will be remembered for his hard work, community dedication, and the warmth he shared with all who knew & loved him.
Interment with full military honors will take place on Friday, July 25th at 10:30am at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA. A celebration of Donalds life will be announced after the services.
