

Dorothy B. Davies, 96, of Paxtang, Dauphin County and most recently of Kindred Place, Linglestown Road entered into eternal life April 11, 2014, with all of her beloved family at her side. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was born June 12, 1917, in Valparaiso, Indiana. She was the daughter of the late Jeremiah Harrison Barnett and Rebecca Shugars Barnett and sister of the late Audrey Barnett Wolfe. She was predeceased by her husband of 76 years, Gwilym D. Davies, who was the former Superintendent of Millersburg Area schools and of Central Dauphin School District, they were married in Bradford, McKean County, PA on August 24, 1934.
She was a member of Paxton Presbyterian Church, Harrisburg Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution and The Welsh Society of the Greater Harrisburg Area. She is survived by all six of her children: Gwilym Davies of San Antonio, Texas; Gordon Davies of Harrisburg; Terry Davies of Ocala, FL.; Rebecca Davies Neff of Gardners; Jerry Davies of Harrisburg, and Dorothy Davies Nichter of Harrisburg. They have six grandchildren: Allyson Davies Corcoran of Gainesville, FL; Rachel Neff Craven of Mt Holly Springs; Jared Robert Neff of Mt. Joy; Aaron Thomas Neff of Princeton, NJ; Dorothy Patricia Nichter and Thomas Joseph Nichter, Jr. of Harrisburg and eight great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Tuesday April 15, 2014 at 11:00 AM, at Paxton Presbyterian Church; a luncheon at the church will follow the services. Internment will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Paxton Presbyterian Church or to the Harrisburg Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
