Dorothy M. Goffus

Dorothy M. Goffus of Harrisburg passed away Friday, September 19, 2014. Born in Harrisburg, daughter of the late William McQuaide and Dolly Wilt McQuaide. Dottie was preceded in death by her loving husband, Andrew "Curley" who passed away in 1998 and who she missed every day. She and Curley shared a beautiful life. He was "the greatest guy and I loved him very much." She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Chuck Kokoski of Mechanicsburg, and son and daughter-in-law, Andrew and Sherry Goffus of Oberlin. Dottie is also survived by her three grandchildren, Lisa Kokoski of New Cumberland, Jennifer Kokoski of Allenhurst, New Jersey and August Goffus of Baltimore, Maryland, and several nephews and nieces. She was a 1943 graduate of John Harris High School and retired from Stroehmann's Bakery after 21 years. She was a member of Saint Catherine Laboure Parish. She volunteered with ladies from her Church and was always ready to lend a helping hand. Dottie enjoyed reading, plays, TV and movies. Her greatest passion in life was her children and grandchildren. She was proud of her family and dearly loved them all and we will always love and cherish her! She will be terribly missed by all but never forgotten. A Memorial Mass to honor Dottie will be held at Saint Catherine Laboure Parish on Tuesday, September 23rd at 11:00AM. The family will receive guests beginning at 10:30AM. Burial in Resurrection Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Saint Catherine Laboure Parish.
