Earl Milton Gloeckler

Born October 8, 1934 in Harrisburg; he was the son of the late Harvey and Margarite (Christ) Gloeckler; and preceded in death by two daughters, Vicky Sullivan and Tamy Gloeckler; son, Tim Gloeckler; two grandsons, Earl Coleman III and Stevie Kershaw; son-in-law, Bill Glaser; two brothers; and 4 sisters.

Surviving is his wife of 70 years and high school sweetheart, Rose M. Gloeckler; two daughters, Trudy Glaser and Debbie Kershaw; son-in-law, John Gustin; 8 grandchildren, Cazzie and Nathan Coleman, Terry Kershaw, Nickole Obenstine, Raven Matthews (Sean), Erin Eckert (Jason), Payton Gloeckler and Megan Gloeckler; great grandchildren, Earl Coleman IV, Jaden and Rayne Ebert, Kailey and Everett Obenstine, T. J. Kershaw, Alexis Kershaw, Dan Donley Jr., Jaxon, Declan and Gemma Matthews, Dylan Eckert, Akai, Tyquan Jr. and Mayleah Walker; two great-great grandchildren, Leigh-Ahn and Leighton Kershaw; and many nieces and nephews.

Earl retired from Bethlehem Steel Co, a graduate of Steelton High School, class of ’53 and a member of the Mountain View Bible Church, Hummelstown.

When Earl was able he would drop everything to pick up or help anyone in the family.

Earl and Rose loved to swing on the porch in good weather.

Earl was an avid Steel High Roller fan.

A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 PM Monday, February 11, 2023 in the Mountain View Bible Church, 34 Sipe Ave., Hummelstown. A visitation will be from 3:00 PM Saturday until the time of the service at the church. Light refreshments will be served after the service.
